Beaujolais Nouveau Day – 20 November 2014
Beaujolais Nouveau Day – 20 November 2014, Macedonia
Macedonia, Beaujolais Nouveau Day
Beaujolais Nouveau Day is marked in France on the third Thursday in November with fireworks, music and festivals. Under French law, the wine is released at 12:01 a.m., just weeks after the wine’s grapes have been harvested. Parties are held throughout the country and further afield to celebrate the first wine of the season.
In honour of the Beaujolais Nouveau (Beaujolais Nouveau) event, on 20th of November, for the first time in Macedonia , the Association of Wineries of Macedonia organized a competition for young domestic wines made from amateur winemakers so there was an assessment and tasting for them. I had the opportunity to attend on this event as part of the commission that gave me a strong motivation.
I had a good impression, and there were a really good wines since they were a home made wines. Winemakers have tried to present the best of them and everyone deserves great praise, support and encouragement to participate in the coming years, as well for the ones that didn’t participate this year.
